Austin has been loving solid foods. He can almost feed himself with the spoon (he almost always misses) and today he used his pincer-grip to pick up a kamut puff with his fingers. Up until now he was using the palm-to-face method of smearing the puffs all over his face. When he chews these he always shows us that he is being careful not to choke. He actually seems proud to be eating like this. He doesn't seem picky, and even if he makes a weird face when he tries a new veggie or fruit, he eats it all up. To mom's pleasure, he has started babbling "ma-ma-ma" in addition to the "da-da-da" that he's been saying for a month. He also went from sitting, to laying on his belly, to rolling over, all in one smooth motion today. Perhaps it's time for some baby-proofing of the house!
