August 09, 2009 Austin is turning 11-months old! And, as usual, the past month has been full of changes. In addition to practicing his walking while hanging onto peoples fingers, he also loves to walk around assisted only by his walker toy; back and forth and back and forth. Austin has been doing lots of visiting this month. Every two weeks he and Mommy visit with Rebecca, Fiona and Lana. He recently had a really good visit with his uncles Ryan and David (and his aunts Cassie and Robin) in Mount Forest. He spent a weekend at Grandma and Grandpa’s trailer in Wiarton. It was a rainy weekend but Austin still had fun entertaining everyone, especially with his new drum (which is staying at Grandma and Grandpa’s place!). Then Austin and family spent a week at the cottage with Nana and Papa. The first few days were really rainy and stormy and Austin was getting a case of cabin fever but the weather got better just in time and everyone got to have lots of fun outdoors. Austin is still enjoying *big-person* food. He prefers to feed himself and his favorite foods are still blueberries and melon. Austin’s vocabulary is growing every day. One of his first words was ‘kitty' and whenever we’re out for a walk he’s always pointing and saying 'kitty' to all the four legged creatures he comes across. Austin has started dancing when he hears music. He even dances at the dinner table without any music.
